The attack on the Berlin store marks the seventh such attack this year in the city, according to the report in Berlin-based Bild, a daily tabloid newspaper. Apple’s stores have become a target in recent years of U.S. attacks aimed at the upscale electronics retailer, with some of the bold smash-and-grab heists captured in videos on YouTube. The attacks underline the growing currency of Apple’s wares sold as stolen merchandise. Thieves in the Berlin attack used a stolen Opel Corsa to smash into the Apple store window, according to Bloomberg, and took off in two Audis. Thieves stole about $137,000 worth of merchandise in a heist at Berlin’s Alexa shopping mall earlier this month.

Celebrity Car Crashes
Just days before Christmas, one person is dead and another is airlifted to a Wichita Falls hospital following a single car accident on Monday evening. Fulton says Bolf, a Scotland resident, lost control of the vehicle, went off the road and rolled the car several times. He says Bolf and her passenger, 49-year-old Samuel Wolf from Windthorst, were both ejected. Bolf was pronounced dead on the scene and Wolf was care-flighted to United Regional where Fulton says he is listed in critical condition.

Crews Respond To 2-Car Accident In Clementon
The Hartford Courant reported at the time that Massachusetts investigators were interested in speaking with Singleton in connection with their investigation into Hernandez. A passenger in the car, Tabitha Perry, 27, survived the crash, but died last week after being found unconscious and not breathing inside a Southington home. The cause of her death remains under investigation, with toxicology tests pending. New England Patriots tight end, Aaron Hernandez, was taken into custody by police on June 26, according to news reports Hernandez, who grew up in Bristol, Conn., is charged with murder in the shooting death of 27-year-old Odin Lloyd, whose body was found in June not far from Hernandezs home in North Attleborough, Mass. He has pleaded not guilty. Authorities also have been investigating whether Hernandez is linked to a 2012 double homicide in Boston. While investigating Lloyds death, police searched Singletons Bristol home and found an SUV rented in Hernandezs name that was wanted in connection with the Boston killings. Singleton was married to Hernandezs cousin Tanya Singleton, who was indicted in September on charges of criminal contempt and conspiracy to commit accessory after the fact in the Lloyd shooting. Another person with ties to Hernandez Robert Valentine, a brother of Hernandezs mother died in a car crash in August. Hernandez appeared in court Monday for a hearing in the murder case against him. His attorneys accused the state of allowing leaks that jeopardize his right to a fair trial.

Single Car Accident on FM 172 Kills Driver, Critically Injures Passenger
Although the other driver survived, Dean was killed. More recently, Ryan Dunn, star of the Jackass movies, was killed in a crash in Pennsylvania in 2011. Dunn was believed to have been driving his Porsche at around 130 mph when he lost control of the vehicle, killing himself and a friend who was traveling with him. Other celebrities, including Paul Walker, were not behind the wheel when their tragic accidents occurred. In 1967, a driver was transporting actress Jayne Mansfield, her boyfriend, and three of her children from a nightclub performance in Biloxi, Mississippi to New Orleans, Louisiana. Their Buick Electra collided with a truck, killing Mansfield, the driver, and her boyfriend. Fortunately, the kids survived, one of whom grew up to become a famous actress herself: Mariska Hargitay. Some celebrities have survived bad car accidents. In 1987, Matthew Broderick and Jennifer Grey, who were dating at the time, were vacationing in Ireland. While driving through the countryside, they collided head on with another vehicle. Broderick and Grey survived with injuries, but the two people in the other car were killed.
