Arizona Car Accident Law Firm Phillips Law Group is Investigating Injury Claims Linked to Recalled General Motors Vehicles
The driver, so far unnamed, had worked a lot of overtime before the accident, Kelly claims. NTSB officials say the plan to interview her about the accident, but she was hospitalized at the time. It is unclear whether she has yet to be released or interviewed. Service on the Blue Line of the Chicago commuter train, known as the L train, has been suspended between OHare and Rosemont . The line was undergoing some renovation at the time of the crash, but it is unknown whether that could have played a factor. Both track work and driver fatigue have been factors in commuter crashes in recent years. In December, a Metro-North train in New York City derailed after it went around a curve too fast. Four were killed and dozens injured in the crash.

Son suffers same brain injury as father in crash
E-mail Address Send to a Friend PHOENIX, ARIZ. (PRWEB) March 25, 2014 Auto accident law firm Phillips Law Group is currently investigating alleged injury and wrongful death claims related to the General Motors (GM) recalls announced in February and March of 2014. “With more than 3.1 million vehicles recalled in two months, it seems General Motors may not have considered how dangerous a defect found during testing can be once the vehicle goes to the public,” said Jeffrey Phillips, Partner at Phillips Law Group. “We hope that the U.S. attorney’s investigation into the matter provides the answers many vehicle owners are seeking. GM should be held accountable for their actions, which is why we are investigating injury claims linked to the millions of recalled vehicles.” The National High Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) announced on Feb. 10, 2014 that General Motors would be recalling more than 619,000 Chevrolet Cobalts, model years 2005-2007, and 2007 Pontiac G5s. According to NHTSA campaign number 14V047000, announced on Feb. 24, 2014 that an additional 748,024 vehicles were recalled for the same issues, including 2006-2007 Chevrolet HHR and Pontiac Solstice models, 2003-2007 Saturn Ions and 2007 Saturn Sky. According to General Motors, the airbags of the affected vehicles may not deploy if the key moves out of the “run” position. On Feb. 25, the company announced online that the recall condition may have led to non-deployment of front airbags in 31 crashes and caused 13 deaths.

O’Hare Airport Train Crash Causes Injury for 32 Passengers
The number of fatal automobile crashes in Texas has been on the decline since 1980, but for the past two years, both injury and fatal car accidents in Texas have risen. The increase in traffic fatalities has been linked to the states growth and economy, the Insurance Council of Texas (ICT) reported. With Texas rapid population growth and strong economy more people are on its highways and that translates into more accidents and more people getting hurt, said Anne McCartt, senior vice president of the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). In 2003, Texas Department of Transportation figures showed the state had 190,878 injury crashes, but the number had dropped to 139,690, or a 27 percent decline by 2011.In the past two years the numbers have risen, exceeding 152,000. Fatal crashes in Texas dropped from 3,371 in 2003 to 3,067 in 2011, or a 10 percent decline. But during the past two years the numbers increased to more than 3,330, the ICT said. From This Issue

Pace bus crash injures 4 in Cook County, Illinois
The accident happened on 1st Avenue when a red Nissan Sentra traveling southbound veered into the northbound lane and crashed into a Pace bus. After striking the bus, the Sentra continued on and struck three pedestrians standing on a sidewalk. According to a Cook County Sheriff’s department spokesperson, the three pedestrians were all taken to the Loyola University Medical Center were two of them were listed in serious condition. The driver of the Nissan was also taken to the hospital where his condition is unknown. The five passengers on the bus were not injured. The accident is still under investigation by the Sheriff’s department, and there was no information released regarding possible charges and/or citations. In this situation, the injured victims will be awaiting the final police report in order to determine who is at fault for the injuries suffered in the car accident . Regardless of who is at fault, the victims could be looking for compensation for their injuries. If the responsible party’s insurance coverage is not adequate, the victims might be able to file a lawsuit against the responsible party to collect the difference plus possible punitive damages depending on the circumstances and the extent of their injuries. A personal injury attorney may be able to help an individual who has been the victim of an injury accident. The victim has rights, and the attorney may be able to protect those rights while trying to gather all the evidence necessary to help their client file a lawsuit. An attorney may be better prepared to present the evidence in a courtroom to try and gain as much compensation for the injuries as possible.
